Chardonnay vineyard
A challenge in the Bussia terroir
In an area where the soil is historically dedicated to the production of great red wines of Piedmont, Paolo Sartirano decided to plant a Chardonnay vineyard. It was 1992.
The parcel choosen for this variety is characterized by a less severe ground, basically rich in constituents. In these types of soils, also rich in mineral elements, the Chardonnay grapes are able to express their best olfactive and flavor character. The result is a wine that greatly differs from the chardonnay internationally known. A successful challenge, we can say.
The surface of the vineyard is 0.75 hectares.
