The historical vineyard Campo dei Buoi

A single vineyard to produce a single wine

The vineyard faces exclusively the south and it is a little more than one hectare large.

The rows start at 250m altitude and reach up 350m. In this parcel, the main component is the marl, clay and sandstone are minority. The high presence of carbonates guarantees a perfect water balance, so as to provide appropriate need even in difficult vintages. Mineral components, such as potassium, phosphorus, calcium and other elements, are well balanced and allow a perfect ripening of the grapes.

As well as the vineyard “Campo del Gatto”, also “Campo dei Buoi” is a name that comes from the past, handed down by the locals and also mentioned in the purchase document of the estate signed by Luigi Arnulfo and his father. The quote “Field said land of oxen” also features the label of the wine we produce using only the grapes from this vineyard, our Barolo DO.C.G. Bussia Vigna Campo dei Buoi.
